Re: LWVGTA Annual Meeting – Monday, May 11, 2026
The LWVGTA Annual Meeting is almost upon us. Please join us on Monday, May 11, 2026 at the Hagerty Center, 715 E. Front St. Traverse City, MI for a breakfast buffet, business meeting, awards, and featured speaker. Some singers from The NMC Chamber Choir will also perform. Cost $35. We will conduct our annual business meeting then follow with our guest speaker, Paula Bowman. Paula has a rich history within the LWV. She is the former Northwest Wayne County League President and former Michigan State League Co-President, in addition to holding many other League titles.
This year’s awards recipients are:
Making Democracy Work Award: Rebecca Pierce, Traverse City Record Eagle, Editor in Chief.
Outstanding Service Award: Alice Schuman, Voter Services Co-Chair.
We look forward to seeing you and sharing what our League has accomplished over the past year and what is scheduled for the coming year. Guests are welcome. It’s a great way to introduce potential members to our League work which is accomplished by team effort.
We will be voting on:
- The LWVGTA by-laws (proposed changes highlighted)
- 2026-27 proposed budget
- 2026-28 slate of officers and board members
