The LWVGTA will present a program focused on learning more about the implementation of Proposal 2 that passed in 2022.

Mackenzie Walz, A Voting Rights Fellow for the organization Promote the Vote, will present information about our new voting rights under Proposal 2, which was a citizen led proposal that was passed by a majority of Michigan voters on November 8, 2022. Proposal 2 provides Michiganders with true early voting, a permanent mail ballot list, drop boxes, enhanced ballot tracking, a new absentee ballot deadline for military and overseas voters and will supply prepaid postage on absentee ballots.

The program will be held in the McGuire Room at the Traverse City Public Library. It will also be broadcast on Spectrum channel 189 and livestreamed on Traverse Area Community Media website, www.TACM.tv/CommunityTvNow.
